EnterpriseLM provides an intuitive and comprehensive lifecycle management solution tracking a wide range of lifecycle information including procurement data, contracts and licensing, financials, and IMAC activity. In additional to this core set of ownership information, EnterpriseLM also tracks the association of information including assets to assets, contract to assets, asset to people and more. The ability to create these associations allows the IT professional user to quickly search, locate and analyze the primary object and its relationships. In addition, this open solution provides the mechanism to import and export data to and from other systems via a graphical mapping tool. Purchasing and Procurement Data To commence the lifecycle management process, IT asset managers can begin tracking assets from the time of purchase. EnterpriseLM provides a standardized catalog of approved assets that may be purchased, and Purchase Orders may be created in the system or data can be imported from an external procurement system. Purchasing data that is tracked in the application includes the P.O. number, billing code/cost center, initial costs, the dates of purchase, receipt, and initial deployment, and much more. EnterpriseLM also provides the ability to create and populate multiple new asset records at once. Hardware Asset Data EnterpriseLM tracks detailed configuration, assignment and usage data about all hardware assets including PCs, servers, mobile devices, network and telecommunications equipment and more. Examples of the data that can be tracked includes manufacturer and model, configuration, serial number, asset tag, barcode number, device category/subcategory, device location, IP address, ownership status, user assignment and associated billing code, connections between devices, maintenance and warranty information, and much more. Software License and Usage Tracking Software information that can be tracked includes multiple license types and models (single user, server, concurrent user, points-based, etc.), master agreements, purchase orders and installations by user or hardware device. It also tracks license terms covering purchases or upgrades to existing licenses, as well as purchase, upgrade and maintenance costs. EnterpriseLM easily integrates with EnterpriseAM for comparison to discovery data and to EnterpriseEM, the entitlements management system providing very comprehensive software management capabilities. Financial Tracking and Reporting Financial information that is tracked includes purchase, lease, maintenance and warranty costs, software upgrade costs, the currency type(s), payment details, and more. This data can be shared with other financial systems including accounting, general ledger, fixed asset and accounts payable systems. EnterpriseLM plays an important role of providing a common ground for all financial information about assets, regardless of type or accounting category. Contract Management Most organizations spend a significant amount of time negotiating the best deals possible with their vendors, but most admit they don't spend nearly as much effort enforcing those great deals. EnterpriseLM's contract management facility allows customers to track the highlights of any contract, including terms and conditions, key dates, associated assets or documents, notes and email alerts to ensure vendor compliance. Ultimately the solution provides vendor management, allowing customers to analyze vendor performance, consolidate contracts and provide negotiators with the information needed to leverage better deals in the future. IMAC Tracking All changes that are made to an asset during its lifecycle can be tracked in detail. Initial installation information, as well as any configuration, software, user and location changes is recorded with a record of the old and new value along with when a change was made and by whom. In addition to the audit trail information, Work Orders can be assigned to track the repair made, technician name, time required for the work (for billing), billing code and more. Technicians can track warranty data before performing repairs, and can view previous configuration and IMAC data for troubleshooting. This data can be shared/integrated with help desk solutions. Proactive Notifications and Alerts The system includes a facility to automatically send notifications via email, pager, etc. when certain user-specified conditions occur. These can be date-specific (i.e. 90 days' advance notice of an upcoming maintenance renewal date or the end of a lease), or they can be driven by field value changes (i.e. an asset manager can be notified that a new asset has arrived onsite, or conversely, when a new asset that has been ordered has not yet arrived within a certain specified period of time). The alert mechanism enables customers to manage a significant amount of information and define the rules for notification to become more proactive and less reactive. Cross-System Integration with Graphical Mapping Tool EnterpriseLM includes a flexible, easy-to-use graphical import/export facility that gives authorized users the ability to share data with other systems. This open architecture design enables integration with complementary business applications such as help desk, financial, procurement, and other systems. Unique Multi-level Security Model Robust security features enable users to log in, view and update only the data for which they are authorized to do so. This role-based security allows data access to be limited based on the user's job function, department or organization, and more. Our unique and flexible security model allows a customer to create different views for different sets of information for a user or group. For example, a user may have full rights and access to all desktops, but cannot see costs and contracts for servers. Comprehensive Reporting and Ad Hoc Queries EnterpriseLM provides a large number of standard reports to allow users to gain immediate value. Its self-contained reporting facility includes a broad range of standard reports, which may be tailored to user specifications and scheduled. Users are not required to create their own reports and queries in third-party reporting tools, nor are they required to employ Eracent services to create reports for them. However, for users who wish to utilize third party reporting tools, data can be accessed directly or exported for use with these tools. In addition to reporting, EnterpriseLM provides comprehensive ad hoc querying capabilities to allow users to quickly select any field to generate the information that they need. Queries may be saved for future usage. Out of the Box Integration with Other Eracent Solutions EnterpriseLM was designed to support the ITIL principles of the CMDB. The CMDB (Configuration Management Database) provides a central place to view all related information around an asset. In addition to the comprehensive set of asset and work order information, EnterpriseLM integrates with EnterpriseAM, our discovery tool, for additional detail and to perform reconciliation. EnterpriseLM also integrates with our EnterpriseEM to identify software license compliance.
